Introducing myself

Hey! I’m Matteo and I’m a portrait photographer from Como, Italy.

My passion for photography started in 2012, almost by chance. To be precise, when I found myself with my wife’s reflex camera in my hands and I felt the desire to try to understand how it worked. From there my path of growth and improvement, which continues today, has begun, always discovering and learning something new.
I am also passionate about sport and, for some years, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the A1 Volleyball Series, both men’s and women’s, in collaboration with a Media Consulting company.

My approach to photography

Since I am a portrait photographer, my goal is to capture and enhance the uniqueness and beauty of each individual. Looking at my portfolio, you will realize how I like to play with light and achieve particular effects defining my very own style of photographing people.
Any time it is required, I enlist the help of talented make-up artists to add further value to the photographs I take.
Whether it’s simple portraits or fashion or beauty projects, the keywords in what I create are quality and professionalism.
I am convinced that every set is the result of teamwork. Each of the members contributes and makes their ability and creativity available to the others.

In this digital age, I find the rediscovery of analog photography particularly interesting. Although it is not commercial, for various reasons, I believe the rendering of images on film is absolutely fascinating, with a vintage flavour and at the same time very recognizable and clear. Every now and then, I happen to bring film cameras with me and still savour the pleasure of slowing down and taking the time it takes to create a photo with a vintage taste.
