Inside the Photo #15

Good morning (or afternoon) and welcome to another appointment with Inside the Photo!

I tell you, today’s guest is an impressive photographer. I was stunned by his images since I discovered them (can’t remember if it was on LinkedIn or Vero).

His name is Andreas Görß and here is a little about him:

My name is Andreas Görß, born in 1969, and I live in Berlin.

My photographs are created during walks through the cities of Europe. On these excursions, I particularly enjoy photographing architecture with all its lines, symmetries, and fascinating reflections. I especially love it when the light plays its own games. My works are meticulously composed pieces full of aesthetics. The viewer finds a synthesis of geometry, light, and shadow.

Digging into his work you will always find yourself admiring what’s in front of your eyes. Forget the neverending scrolling, his images are all eye-catching. I have never enough of his pictures, with strong contrast, deep shadows and a look that is immediately recognizable.

In some of my photographs, people become the focal point of the scene. These are chance encounters.

Passersby, alone, wandering through urban canyons, labyrinthine spaces, dirty rows of houses. You can almost hear their footsteps echoing on the pavement. The bored, the uneasy, the tired, caught between the sea of buildings. Leaving subway stations, their eyes are flooded with light. Departing? Arriving? Rushing towards a goal, or strolling aimlessly?

I capture fleeting moments with a press of the shutter. Each picture tells its own story.

I’m sure you will find his work incredible as much as I do.
Let me just link down here all his social profiles so you can check by yourself.

And I highly recommend you do!
